Breeder's notes:
Like Pillow Fight, it's nearly sterile.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
This is an openly pollinated seedling from Pillow Fight. I had in the past try to work with Pillow Fight, but I could never raise seedlings from it because it's pretty sterile. However, one day i found 3 miserable looking hips on the plant. Each had one seed. Two of the seeds sprouted, but only one survived. At first, I thought the seedling would be weak but it was very healthy and survived without any extra care. I've grown this seedling for two years now and it seems that it has several of Pillow Fight's traits (especially sterility, although it has one single hip on it.) To me, it seems to be in the middle of a polyantha and a floribunda. It sort of reminds me of a Cecil Brunner, but with much heavier growth and the flowers are deep pink. (A shade similar to Gertrude Jeckyll.) The fragrance, to my mother and sister, is very strong and "rosey" and similar to Pillow Fight, except that it lacks the honey tones.
