Bred by Unknown (before 1844). Introduced in Australia by F. C. Davis in 1862 as 'Duc d'Alençon'.
Class:
Damask Perpetual, Hybrid Perpetual.
Bloom:
Crimson. Medium, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
