Bred by George Paul (1841-1921) (United Kingdom, 1881).
Introduced in Australia by C. F. Newman and Sons - Adelaide in 1894 as 'Brightness of Cheshunt'.

Bloom:

Scarlet to vermilion. Brick-red. Small to medium, double (17-25 petals), scalloped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
