Introduced in France by Nabonnand P&C in 1904 as 'Ludwig Winter'.
Introduced in Australia by Henry Sewell, Payneham Nurseries in 1906 as 'Ludwig Winter'.

Bloom:
Deep pink, silver(y) shading, carmine-pink reverse.  Moderate fragrance.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
