Bloom:
Light shell pink. Double (17-25 petals) bloom form. Prolific, occasional repeat later in the season.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Large foliage. 5 to 7 leaflets.
Height: up to 6'7" (up to 200cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 2b and warmer. Very hardy.
Breeder's notes:
Open pollinated seedling of George Will, obviously by Betty Bland. Grows 2m tall, rather upright, very hardy. Nice red bark, relatively thornless. Flowers larger and fuller than Betty Bland, a light self-pink, rather than two-toned. Blooms heavily early in season, with a scattering of bloom the rest of the summer. Sets seed. Worth growing, but I doubt it is distinctive enough to be worth introducing.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
May be viewed at Brooks Rose Garden and Devonian Botanic Garden in Alberta, Canada
