Bred by Alexander (Sandy) Dickson III (1893-1975) (United Kingdom, 1933).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1934 as 'David McKee'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Carmine-red to scarlet.  Strong fragrance.  Very large, double (17-25 petals), high-centered, spiral centers bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
