Origin:
Bred by Isabella Preston (Canada, 1920).
Introduced in Canada by Agriculture Canada, Ottawa, Ontario (Central Experimental Farm) as 'Cree'.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa, Hybrid Spinosissima, Shrub.  
Bloom:
White and pink.  Large, single (4-8 petals) bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b and warmer.  
Breeder's notes:
R. rugosa in a double white form was crossed with R. spinosissima hispida, and one seedling was grown. It was named Cree. It has attractive foliage and single, pale pink flowers. It sets a few seed-pods.
