Origin:
Bred by Francis Meilland (1912-1958) (France, before 1941).
Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1942 as 'Boudoir'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Purple, fuchsia / magenta shading, yellow reverse.  Mild fragrance.  50 petals.  Very large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, few or no prickles/thorns, upright.  Leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
