Discovered by Mathias Leenders (1883 - 1958) (Netherlands, 1931).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Étoile de Hollande, Cl.'.

Climber, Hybrid Tea, Cl., Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Red.  Strong fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Average diameter 4.75".  Very large, very double bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: 8' to 30' (245 to 915cm).  Width: 10' (305cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
