Origin:
Bred by Jules Gravereaux (France, 1901).
Introduced in France by Charles Pierre Marie Cochet-Cochet in 1904 as 'Madame Laborie'.
Class:
Hybrid Rugosa.  
Bloom:
Deep pink.  Large, very double, in small clusters, high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles.  Glossy foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 4a through 5b.  
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
Jeanne Marie-Louise Laborie (March 1, 1878 Paris - August 25, 1951 Paris) married on March 17, 1902 Henri Pierre Gravereaux (May 27, 1874 Paris - November 28, 1953 Paris), eldest son of Jules Gravereaux. The rose must have been dedicated to the mother of the bride.
