Bred by Ludovic (Unknown, before 1885).
Introduced in France by Eugène Verdier fils aîne in 1885 as 'Frédéric Schneider II'.

Bloom:
Deep pink and red, dark red shading.  Large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  
Habit:
Bushy, upright.

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.
