Bred by Jan Spek (Netherlands, 1923).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1924 as 'Jan Steen'.

Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Scarlet.  Mild fragrance.  Large, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, open bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Bushy.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.
