Bred by Reimer Kordes (1922-1997) (Germany, before 1950).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 1951 as 'Friedrich Schwarz'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1953 as 'Friedrich Schwarz'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Strong, old rose fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), cupped bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, bushy, well-branched.  Dark green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
