Origin:
Bred by Alfred Krebs (United States, before 1947).
Introduced in United States by Howard & Smith in 1948 as 'Crimson Rosette'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1949 as 'Crimson Rosette'.
Class:
Floribunda, Polyantha.  
Bloom:
Crimson.  Mild fragrance.  30 petals.  Average diameter 1.25".  Small, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters, cupped, rosette bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Small, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Short, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, compact, well-branched.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.  

Height: up to 18" (up to 45cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for beds and borders or hedge.

My present invention relates to improvement in rose plants of the polyantha type and resulted from a cross made by me of two unnamed seedlings of which one of the earlier progenitors was the Mme. Cecile Brunner.
