Origin:

Bred by Dr. Griffith J. Buck (United States, 1981).
Introduced by Unknown in 1981 as 'Hi Neighbor'.

Bloom:

Red. Moderate, sweet fragrance. 45 to 50 petals. Large, very double, in small clusters, cupped bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.

Habit:

Bushy, upright. Semi-glossy, dark green, leathery foliage.

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm). Width: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 5b through 9b. Very vigorous. prefers full sun. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
