Introduced in United States by Conard-Pyle (Star Roses) in 1934 as 'Angels Mateu'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1936 as 'Angels Mateu'.

Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  

Coral-pink, salmon-pink shading, golden-yellow shading.  Moderate, fruity, raspberry fragrance.  40 petals.  Very large, full (26-40 petals), globular bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, ovoid buds.  

Bushy, upright.  Glossy, dark green, dense foliage.  

USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Very vigorous.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
