Bloom:
Carmine-pink. Medium to large, single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, upright.
Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).

Sets large hips Sent 1892 by the Arnold Arboretum to Paul & Son. "Rosenzeitung" of 1894 states it is the same as R. rugosa rosea.
