Origin:
Bred by Jack E. Christensen (United States, before 1979). Bred by Herbert C. Swim (United States, before 1979).
Introduced in United States by Armstrong Roses in 1980 as 'White Lightnin''.
Class:
Grandiflora.  
Bloom:
White.  Strong, citrus, lemon fragrance.  Average diameter 3.75".  Medium-large, full (26-40 petals), cluster-flowered, in small clusters, high-centered, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Medium, bushy, upright.  Medium, glossy, medium green foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .
