The Fort Smith Rose Society is a non-profit organization, affiliated with the American Rose Society. We are primarily an educational organization concerned with growing and enjoying beautiful roses. We meet at 2:00pm on the third Sunday of each month in the Flanders Building at Westark College in Fort Smith, AR.
Each monthly meeting deals with some aspect of roses, such as rose selection, soil preparation, planting methods, spraying programs, exhibiting, winterizing, etc. Each spring, we conduct a rose tour of the gardens of local members and each fall we host a rose show - a standard show sanctioned by the American Rose Society. We also hold an annual summer picnic and an annual Christmas banquet.
We invite you to join the Fort Smith Rose Society.
Membership is $10.00 for individual and $15.00 for a family. With your membership, you will receive a local yearbook and monthly newsletter with rose information and helpful tips. We have several members who are Consulting Rosarians, as certified by the American Rose Society. These Consulting Rosarians are available to help you with any problems related to growing roses.
