Notes:
Artist Pierre Auguste Renoir was born in Limoges, France, 25 February 1841. He died 17 December 1919. Someone who grows this rose writes: 'Auguste Renoir' has been growing in our yard for three years. It has never had any fragrance, and balls terribly in our Chicago climate. It is, however, very vigourous, and blooms in several heavy flushes each season.
