Bred by Frederick Huber Howard (United States, 1916).
Introduced in United States by Howard & Smith in 1916 as 'Los Angeles'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in before 1921 as 'Los Angeles'.

Class:

Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.

Bloom:

Coral-pink, golden-yellow undertones, apricot undertones. Strong fragrance. Large, semi-double to double, borne mostly solitary, open bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season. Pointed buds.

Habit:

Spreading, upright, well-branched. Medium green, leathery foliage.

Height: up to 2' (up to 60cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b and warmer. Vigorous. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
