Introduced in France by Moreau-Robert in 1874 as 'Commandant Beaurepaire'.
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1882 as 'Panachée d'Angers'.

Gallica / Provins, Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

Light pink, violet stripes, purple stripes, white flecks. Flowers intense rose pink. Strong fragrance. up to 45 petals. Average diameter 4". Medium to large, very full (41+ petals), cupped, globular bloom form. Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.
