I mostly garden modern roses in Houston, Texas, although I am trying to widen out to include more disease-resistant varieties. Fighting blackspot is a never-ending cycle of frustration for me, so I'm in search of those roses with beautiful hybrid tea form yet aren't defoliated by my dreaded nemesis. I started growing roses in the late Nineties as a new mother when I bought my first home. After a relocation and 12-year break, I'm back at it and very excited about the new varieties I'm seeing.
