Margat jeune, after taking over his father's establishment...ceded it in the past years to a horticultural company, where Messrs. Sisley Vandaël père and fils were managers. ...culture of camellias, azaleas, rhododendrons and roses....with the impossibility to continue due to their financial position, M. Margat was obliged to retake the establishment...

[From L'Horticulteur universel, 1845, p. 161ff:] Court case of Charles-Denis Souchet ...at Versailles, rue Bouveau, No 1...against Anatole Margat...Versailles, rue de Montreuil, no. 6-8... resulted on December 17, 1845, forbidding the latter to use the name "Anatole Margat jeune"for his nursery: Anatole Margat had taken over on November 24 the establishment "Margat Ainé" from his uncle, and renamed it "Anatole Margat jeune". However Souchet had bought from Margat jeune a nursery known since a long time as "Établissement horticole de Margat Jeune", and claimed that the name change would cause a confusion with clients.
