| Description: | The Best New Seedling Award given to the winner of the seedling class at the American Rose Societies national convention. This is considered to be quite an honor by hybridizers, especially amateur hybridizers who may not have the ability or financial resources to enter some of the European trials that the commercial nurseries can. It's a award for the exhibition quality of the rose only, and does not consider the plant or it's growing habits. Still, it is a national award given to only one rose at the national convention.
