Charles Léo Lesquereux (November 18, 1806 Fleurier, Neuchâtel - October 25, 1889 Columbus, Ohio), American botanist of Swiss origin, descendant of a French Huguenotte family. After initial work in Switzerland and Germany, he migrated after 1848 to USA, following the invitation of two other Swiss-American scientists, Louis Agassiz and Arnold Guyot. He is recognized as the first paleobotanist of North America.
