Sangerhausen is the hometown of the world's most complete rosary, the "Europa-Rosarium". It shows more than 7.000 sorts of roses plus about 500 species of wild roses.
In June 2003, the "Europa-Rosarium" celebrates its 100th anniversary with the world congress on roses.
