455 Olivina Avenue Livermore, California United States
Hagemann Ranch is located in the city of Livermore, CA, the remaining 5 acres of Martin Mendenhall’s estate that started in 1869 and grew to approximately 535 acres. The Mendenhall brothers, Martin, Absalom and William, owned much of what was to become the City of Livermore as platted by William in 1869 and incorporated in 1876. Besides breeding race horses, Martin raised wheat, barley and other grains, at least partly as feed for his paddock. In 1897 Martin transferred the land to his neighbor Maas Luders who deeded it to his stepson August Hagemann. The Hagemann family would continue to own the property for more than the next 100 years. In 2008 Hagemann Ranch was placed on the National Register of Historic Places with a period of significance of 1869 to 1930. The City of Livermore purchased the property in 2010, and since 2014 the property has been managed by the Livermore Heritage Guild.
