Rosarium Scoticum consists of three separate rose gardens on our property in Stanwood, Washington. The main garden, Rosarium Scoticum houses our collection of Pimpinellifoliae and Persica roses. Itn is located at the rear of the property. There are over 500 varieties of these roses that are or may still be in existance. We intend to get as many of these roses as is possible. Currently we have 175 varieties of these. We intend to propagate as many of these as it is possible to propagate by cuttings and suckers. These will be available for trading to others for Pimpinellifoliae roses that we need. The second garden is called Rosarium Gallicum which houses our collection of gallica roses along with centifolia, damask and other old garden roses. This garden is found south of our house. The last garden is Rosarium Canadacum in which we have our non-pimpinellifoliae Canadian roses. We also have Rugosa roses Buck roses and modern roses in this garden. This is the largest garden, it is on the east side of the property. There is overlap between the three gardens. Rosarium Scoticum includes the Isabella Preston roses and some pimpinellifoliae roses are found throughout our gardens.
[After growing all types of roses for over twenty years I have decided to concentrate solely on Pimpinellifoliae roses. These are difficult to acquire in the US so I will be offering limited numbers of these to people living in the US. This will be an opportunity to acquire some hard to find roses for your garden. Check my garden list of plants grown to see what I have. If you are interested in these roses I invite you to join my facebook group - Spinosissima Roses.]
