I'm in the central valley of CA between Fresno and Bakersfield. Long hot summers.
My garden could be described nicely as a 'cottage' type. I have roses of all sizes, flowers like cosmos and dahlias and african daisies and alyssum growing in among the roses. I started with an idea to color keep and things changed and it's just a mash of color now. One end is pretty much a white blend but that will change in the spring.
My rose garden is very young, I started out with 27 minis in the fall of '06 and a couple of bareroot HT's in a completely bare back yard, new subdivision.
