L.D. Braithwaite has bright red blooms as 2nd-year own-root, not much scent, and the plant is VERY VIGOROUS, taller than Lavender Crush climber next to it. Young canes have dense prickles. Now in late Sept, it's 6 feet tall. Blooms have a myrrh scent when first opened.
