This is a Aloe Vera. It is a 'wide leaf' species, completely different from the Aloe that is common in this area. I brought this one from Florida or it's parent or grandparent, in 1991. I have let it stay outside the last 3 winters, but had to cover it when it got down near freezing. It had never bloomed until last year. I had put some of same fertilizer that I use on roses, on it. No one around here has ever heard of one blooming before. Please accept this and 3 more close-up's. I saw a garden on here yesterday that has a lot of other pretty things besides roses. This is a very rare thing.
