(Coastal Southern California, spring) This mature (probably 17-18-years old) Sally Holmes was started on a tuteur. Now the tuteur is gone, but the rose stands up as a tree. It has not been pruned for at least 5 years. It blooms most heavily in the spring, but has some bloom year 'round. It is too big to deadhead. It now probably stands somewhere between 10-ft and 12-ft in height. (The lavender-pink rose next to it is 'Lavender Dream.') Jeri Jennings
