Breeder's notes:
Viru was always keen to marry his clinophylla and gigantea seedlings with the David Austin roses (those which performed well in the Indian climate). Graham Thomas and Abraham Darby were two such. Viru made many crosses with Graham Thomas, and this seedling is one of his first to thrive and grow well. It is a tall shrub, almost a climber, and surprisingly the yellow colour of Graham Thomas hasn’t come through, the pink of Pat Henry seems to have been stronger. The combination of genes fascinated Viru, and of course the flower -form of the English roses. The parentage of Graham Thomas is: Charles Austin (Chaucer x Aloha) x (Iceberg x unnamed seedling).

And of Pat Henry/Narender: { Landora x [ Montezuma x {Little Darling x (R. clinophylla x R. bracteata )}]} x Ganges Mist

Prickles: small size, triangular, brown colour
Growth habit: spreading shrub/ short climber
