'Petit Malmaison' rose Description

Bloom:
White, salmon-pink center. Moderate, carnation, cinnamon, magnolia fragrance. 30 to 50 petals. Average diameter 2". Small to medium, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form. Moderate, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Medium, long sepals buds.
Habit:
Short, bushy, upright, average prickles. Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 1' to 2' (30 to 60cm). Width: 1' to 18" (30 to 45cm).
Growing:
Can be used for beds and borders, container rose or specimen. Blooms tend to ball in wet weather. drought resistant. flowers drop off cleanly. heat tolerant. prefers full sun. Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .
Breeder's notes:
This plant was salvaged from a defunct miniatures bed in early 2024, having survived ten years of neglect, lack of water, or any other care. It's far from perfect, but a curious rose. Its fragrance is nearly identical to that of its pollen parent, 'Souvenir de la Malmaison'!!
