Synonyms:
Origin:
Bred by Louis-Toussaint Charpentier (France, before 1819).
Class:
Gallica / Provins.
Bloom:
Pink, white mottling.  None to mild fragrance.  Average diameter 3".  Medium to large, semi-double to double bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.
Patents:
Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).
Notes:
This rose is pink, finely speckled with white; the speckling must have seemed like the speckling of a Guinea Fowl, "la pintade" in French.

It is a mystery how some writers decided this rose was a synonym for 'Georges Vibert', a Gallica introduced more than 30 years later.
