Bred by Unknown.
Introduced in United Kingdom by Peter Beales Roses in before 1983 as '"Mary Queen of Scots'.

Class:

Hybrid Spinosissima.

Bloom:

Cream, lilac shading. Single (4-8 petals) bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.

Habit:

Height: up to 4' (up to 120cm). Width: up to 3' (up to 90cm).

Notes:

The single variety sold as 'Mary Queen of Scots' in commerce is not the semi-double to double bicolor variety described earlier by Graham Thomas.
There also seems to be a confusion with 'Glory of Edzell' in commerce and gardens (see photos)
