Bred by Jean-Pierre Vibert (France, before 1824).
Introduced in France by Jean-Pierre Vibert in 1828 as 'Aimée Vibert'.
Introduced in Australia by Camden Park in 1850 as 'Aimée Vibert'.

Noisette.  

White.  Pink buds.  Mild, musk fragrance.  40 petals.  Average diameter 2.25".  Medium, very full (41+ petals), in large clusters bloom form.  Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  

Few or no prickles/thorns, spreading.  Glossy, dark green foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.  

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm).  

USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden or pillar.  Hardy.  very vigorous.  can be trained as a climber.  suitable for a pillar.  

Named for Vibert's oldest daughter, Aimée Vibert.

An 1843 reference states that 'Aimée Vibert' does nor repeat. An 1846 reference claims that budding made from eyes of 'Aimée Vibert' on canes without buds do not repeat.
