Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1932 as 'Blaze'.
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1935 as 'Blaze'.
Introduced in Germany by J. C. Schmidt / Blumenschmidt in 1935 as 'Glut'.

Climber, Hybrid Multiflora, Large-Flowered Climber.  

Scarlet, yellow stamens.  Mild fragrance.  25 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Medium, semi-double to double, cluster-flowered, in small clusters, cupped bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  

Climbing.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  

Height: 10' to 15' (305 to 455cm).  Width: 8' (245cm).

USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Can be used for cut flower, garden, landscape or pillar.  Hardy.  very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: susceptible to blackspot .  Prune after flowering is finished.
