Origin:

Bred by François-Georges-Léon Bruant (France, 1894).
Introduced in Australia by H. Kemp in 1909 as 'Belle Poitevine'.

Bloom:

Pink, fuchsia / magenta shading. Mild to strong, centifolia fragrance. Large, semi-double (9-16 petals) bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season. Long buds.

Habit:

Upright, well-branched. Medium, wrinkled (rugose) foliage.

Height: 42" to 6' (105 to 185cm). Width: up to 5' (up to 150cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 3b and warmer. Hardy. shade tolerant. Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.
