Bred by André Delbard-Chabert (1915-2012) (France, 1964).
Introduced in United States by Armstrong Nursery in 1964 as 'Song of Paris'.
Introduced in France by Delbard/Georges Delbard SA in 1965 as 'Saphir'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1966 as 'Song of Paris'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Lavender, silver(y) shading.  Moderate fragrance.  up to 50 petals.  Average diameter 4".  Large, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, exhibition bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  Matte, leathery foliage.  

Height: up to 47" (up to 120cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
