Discovered by Unknown American origin (United States, before 1656).
Class:
Late, Small-flowered, Texensis-Viorna Group.  
Bloom:
Purple, red shading, yellow tips.  4 petals.  Average diameter 1".  Single, curved tip, nodding, pitcher-shaped, ribbed bloom form.  Midsummer to early autumn.  
Habit:

Height: 6' to 8' (185 to 245cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Plant in soil that drains well.  Plant in sun or partial shade.  Disease susceptibility: slugs & snails.  In early spring, cut back to just above the lowest set of healthy buds.
