Heirloom Old Garden Roses says Perle d'Or has small perfectly formed buds of apricot-peach produced in clusters on a compact plant with rich, dark green foliage. It is almost thornless and very similar to 'Cecile Brunner' except for the color... Some differences of opinion about parentage and breeder, see References.
