'Fanny Bias' rose Description

Gallica / Provins, Hybrid Gallica.
Bloom:
Light pink, lighter edges. Mild fragrance. Average diameter 3". Medium, large, double (17-25 petals), full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, button-eye bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns, upright. Medium green foliage.

Notes:
'Gloire de France' and 'Fanny Bias' are different roses, despite newer References to the contrary. DNA analysis has shown that 'Fanny Bias' is closely related to 'Duc de Bordeaux' in commerce. - see References. Commercialised as 'Athalie' by Pépinières Baltet. Distinct from the Gallica 'Athalie' by Vibert - see.
