Bloom:

Salmon-pink, yellow shading. (Rose crevette mélangé de jaune soufre). Strong fragrance. Average diameter 2.25". Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), in small clusters bloom form. Occasional repeat later in the season.

Habit:

Climbing. Glossy foliage.

Height: up to 11½' (up to 350cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Notes:

'Paul Noël' is sometimes confused with 'Paul Transon' in commerce. 'Paul Transon' is light pink, while 'Paul Noël' and François Juranville' are salmon-pink. The blooms of 'Paul Noël' are around 6cm in diameter, while those of 'François Juranville' are 8cm or more.
Professor Paul Noël (1860-1918) was the Director of the Agricultural-Entomological Laboratory (Laboratoire régional d'Entomologie agricole) of the Department of Seine-Inférieure in Rouen.
