Bred by Jean-Marie Gaujard (1903-1995) (France, before 1938).
Introduced in United States by Jackson & Perkins Co. (Newark, NY) in 1941 as 'Rose d'Or'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea, Pernetiana.  
Bloom:
Golden-yellow, red veining.  Mild fragrance.  up to 35 petals.  Average diameter 4.5".  Very large, full (26-40 petals) bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.  
Habit:
Glossy, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).
