Origin:

Bred by Amanda Beales (1967-2013) (United Kingdom, before 2004).
Introduced in United Kingdom by Peter Beales Roses in 2004 as 'Ivor's Rose'.
Introduced in Australia by Roses and Friends Archive of closed nursery in 2008 as 'Ivor's Rose'.

Class:

Shrub.

Bloom:

Red, deep pink reverse. Mild to strong fragrance. Average diameter 4". Large, very full (41+ petals), cluster-flowered, in large clusters, old-fashioned bloom form. Continuous (perpetual) bloom throughout the season.

Habit:

Short, arching. Glossy, dark green foliage.

Height: 35" to 6'7" (90 to 200cm). Width: 35" to 11½' (90 to 350cm).

Growing:

USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden or hedge. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
