Bred by Tim Hermann Kordes (Germany, 1994).
Introduced in Germany by W. Kordes' Söhne (Retail) in 2004.
Introduced in United States by Wayside Gardens in 2008 as 'Grande Amore'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.   (Series: Eleganza® Collection )  
Bloom:
Red.  Mild fragrance.  25 to 30 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Pointed, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy, compact, upright, well-branched.  Medium, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.  5 leaflets.  

Height: 31" to 35" (80 to 90cm).  Width: 20" to 28" (50 to 70cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for cut flower, garden or pillar.  Disease susceptibility: blackspot resistant, mildew resistant.

The new variety of rose plant of the present invention originated from a controlled crossing in a breeding program of two distinct parents during the summer of 1994. The crossing was between `Christoph Columbus`, a non-patented rose and an un-named seedling.
