'Polo Queen ™' rose Description

Pink blend Hybrid Tea. Registration name: HAYbarb
Origin:
Discovered by Cal Hayes (United States, 2003).
Bloom:
Pink blend. None to mild fragrance. 26 to 40 petals. Average diameter 4.5". Medium, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Tall. Large, semi-glossy, dark green foliage.
Height: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Can be used for cut flower, garden or landscape. Remove spent blooms to encourage re-bloom. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.
Breeder's notes:
Flowers are much different than the parent with much deeper coloration in the petals.

Discovered by: Cal Hayes, 2003 Color: Flowers pale pink at the base of each petal blending to a very dark pink on the margins of the petals, reverse almost white with very light pink at the margins of the petals.
