Notes:
According to a Star Roses press release announcing the introduction of Silver Star in 2001, Silver Star was one of three new 2002 Star® Roses introduced to honor war heroes and support the World War II Memorial, along with Bronze Star and World War II Memorial Rose:

"The Silver Star®, ‘Wezlavn,’ is a rare lavender grandiflora with strong repeat bloom, plant vigor and exceptional disease-resistance. At a compact 4 to 5 feet, the Silver Starä has the best modern rose qualities: free-flowering and prolific blooms with the delicacy and medium-to-large size of a hybrid tea. Although it can be grown as a specimen much like a hybrid tea, this grandiflora rose makes an attractive hedge, screen, and background plant too."
